I didn't check the reviews on Trustpilot before I made my purchase as it's Sports Direct, I've bought from them in-store (pre-lockdown) and they're a household name that I've never had issues with before. I placed my order at 12:30 pm yesterday and when it got to 7 pm and I had yet to hear from them (expect a receipt email) I got a little anxious as I'd bought two pairs of trainers coming to around £150. When I saw the reviews, I immediately became very scared that I was about to be scammed out of my money. But half an hour later I received an email saying that the order was being processed. I chose Next Day Delivery because I'm impatient and with the current situation standard delivery is now ten days for me. Later that night I got an email from Hermes saying they had my order and at 1:45 pm today it showed up, all correct sizes, no damage and nothing missing. The reason I give three stars though is for the lack of communication - I understand these are very trying times, but I've worked in marketing so I know how quick and easy it would be for them to set up an automatic email out after a purchase saying there's going to be a small delay on us processing your order due to the current situation. Something like that would suffice and beneficial to know that they've received and acknowledged your order. The other reason is the big offer plastered all over their home page does not work at checkout and there was not an option for free delivery on my order that was over £75. Not sure if it's an error of being there or what, but that needs correcting. Overall, unless you're feeling confident I probably wouldn't risk purchasing from this company at the minute because by the looks of the other reviews I was definitely a lucky one.
