Umart was most helpful with product selection. Just a few working hours after ordering though I discovered the item was needed no longer; but unfortunately too late to prevent its dispatch. Assistance with its return was ready and co-operative, the system for that proving very efficient.

I bought a gaming laptop from the Gold Coast store. It advised me that there will be a delay but got a notification within 4 business days that it was ready for collection.. pretty good considering with everything that has been happening. At the store one of the guys was giving me some decent options for gaming mice. Later that night I remembered that I accidentally left my tax invoice at the counter so I emailed them for a copy and they sent it to me the following morning.These guys are under the pump due to high demand but I feel like they really do what they can to help out.Thanks UMART, see you next time. Hours of research into components for a high performance computer. UMart had all the required parts (apart from the case I wanted as it had sold out). Best of all, they were the cheapest in the country for virtually all parts. Ordered online and advised 3 days later that the order was ready to be picked up. Took me all of 1 minute to pickup the order (great social distancing at West Ryde branch). Who could ask for better service.

Ordered a part, transferred money from my bank account to umart.Next thing, order status "Cancelled". Money has left my bank and I have no computer part.*Update, received a later email which stated part ready for pickup. All good now.

I've been seeing a lot of negative reviews recently, but I genuinely believe that the staff at Umart are doing their best under difficult circumstances.I had a recent order that certainly took longer than it would have prior to the current restrictions, but communication from Umart was available, even though they are no doubt being smashed with transactions and inquiries.There are a lot of factors at play, such as delivery delays both domestically and internationally, which are out of all of our control. I myself am aware of the extra time required in such a scenario, moving stock between locations and chasing up shipments relating to orders.While I understand that extended wait times for "In-Stock" items would certainly be frustrating, there are always other options and avenues that can be pursued. We just need to remember that we are dealing with people who are trying to do their jobs, rather than a faceless organisation.
